Visionaries

This display of works from ShenArts members showcases the work of 33 regional artists who invite the viewer to look more closely at the everyday. Whether professionally trained and working in traditional mediums or self-taught and working with emerging techniques, these makers find inspiration around them. Nature, history, community, and the spiritual inspire them to transform the common subjects they see into works of art.

Founded in 1978 as the Shenandoah Arts Council, ShenArts provides regional artists with opportunities to exhibit their artworks in various partnership programs with the MSV and the City of Winchester. These programs include exhibitions such as Art in the Halls and the Artscape banners in Old Town Winchester.
