This showcase of works by Shenandoah Valley artists includes art created in several mediums–including paintings, woodcuts, and mixed-media works–that celebrate and examine recognizable characters and pop-culture icons. By including these characters and icons in their work, the artists challenge viewers to explore the line between consumer culture and fine art, all while provoking conversation of community and connection.
