David Rogers’ Big Bugs

David Rogers’ Big Bugs features tiny creatures created on a huge scale! Now through Sunday, November 15, the MSV’s seven-acre gardens are home to a 10-foot-tall daddy long legs, an 18-foot-long praying mantis, and more gargantuan bugs. The sculptures are created by artist David Rogers using various combinations of found or fallen trees, cut green saplings selectively harvested from the willow family, dry branches, and other forest material. Make plans to see Big Bugs at the MSV and discover the world of insects, the role they play in the plant world, and their interconnectedness to our lives. Big Bugs is only at the MSV through November 15, 2020. Admission to this special traveling exhibition is free to MSV members, so join the MSV today!

Exhibition fee (includes gallery admission): $15, $10 youth (13–18) /senior (60+), $5 ages 5–12, free to ages 4 & under, and free to MSV members. Thanks to exhibition sponsor Navy Federal Credit Union—Big Bugs admission is free to all active duty, National Guard, and Reserve military personnel and their families and to individual retired veterans (military id required). Note: while MSV gallery admission is always free to ages 12 & under and free to all on Wednesdays, these free admission offers do not include David Rogers’ Big Bugs.
